Simple enough for every household
How Recipe Exchange works
Keep your family recipes safe, share them with the community and find them again whenever you need them. Adding a recipe is free, and every public recipe is reviewed before it appears.
From your kitchen to the community
Six straightforward steps
You do not need an account to browse. An account is only needed when you want to save, submit, rate or comment.
- 1
Browse and search
Explore all published recipes, browse by category or search using a recipe name, description, ingredient or method.
- 2
Create your free account
Choose a display name and register with your email address and a password of at least 10 characters. Open the confirmation link we email you, then sign in.
- 3
Add the recipe essentials
To submit, add a title, at least one ingredient and at least one method step, then confirm the Halaal declaration. Category, introduction, servings, times and photograph are optional.
- 4
Save it or submit it
Use Save draft on any step, even if details are incomplete. Wait for the saved confirmation before closing the page. On the final step, choose Submit for review when the essentials and Halaal declaration are complete.
- 5
We review before publishing
A site administrator reviews the submission for the Halaal-only community and checks that it is clear and suitable. It is then published, or returned with a note if changes are needed.
- 6
Find everything under My Recipes
Search your own recipes and filter by status. Continue drafts, read reviewer feedback or edit a published recipe. Proposed edits are saved separately: the approved version stays public until an administrator approves the changes. Use My Account to manage your name and email; a new email address must be confirmed before it replaces the old one.

Common questions
The submission form is deliberately flexible so that useful family recipes are not lost simply because every optional detail is not known.
Must I add preparation time, cooking time or servings?
No. Those fields are optional. An administrator may add or tidy optional details during review when the information is available.
Must I upload a photograph?
No. You may submit without a photograph. If you have one, JPEG, PNG and WebP images are accepted.
What does Halaal-only mean here?
The recipe and every specified ingredient must be Halaal. You do not need to add the word “Halaal” throughout the recipe; simply do not include non-Halaal ingredients.
Why does my recipe not appear immediately?
Every submission is held for administrator review. It becomes public only after approval.
Can I rate a recipe or leave a helpful comment?
Yes, after signing in. Each member can give one star rating per recipe and may change it later. Comments are reviewed by an administrator before appearing publicly.
